Special Connections, the special needs ministry of St. James, is focused on enriching the spiritual, social and emotional needs of children and adults with disabilities and their families. The mission statement of Special Connections is three tiered.

1. To make church fully accessible, warm and welcoming to everyone in the disabled community and their families to experience the love of Christ in worship and fellowship.
2. To educate our congregation and the community at large that we are all part of the body of Christ deserving of edification, acceptance and respect.
3. To create awareness and to help educate and equip fellow churches in reaching out to this underserved community.
