Managing Executive Director- (FT)
The Managing Executive Director (MED) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the church. This position involves overseeing administrative operations in collaboration with other staff members, the Leadership Board, the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, the Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees to run the business and ministries of the church in a professional, efficient manner that honors God. The MED works under the direction of the Senior Pastor to help implement and support the mission, vision, and programming of the church. The MED also supervises and monitors the administrative work of the staff and the ministry departments to ensure the effectiveness of each ministry. Additionally, the position provides counsel and expertise to the Senior Pastor and various ministry teams.
Traditional Music Director- (PT) 20-24hrs
The Traditional Choir Director will provide leadership for traditional worship at St. James UMC. The Choir Director will maintain responsibility for the preparation and execution of traditional music and choir participation, along with the recruitment, equipping and leadership of volunteers within the chancel choir. Additionally, the director will also work closely with the Senior Director of Worship and Connecting and additional worship & arts staff to interact effectively with ministry leaders, volunteers, and staff members of St. James UMC to define and implement overarching ministry objectives. These efforts will be in line to support the mission of the church to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
