There is so much going on at St. James there is a place for everyone. From flower arranging, physical fitness, career development, knitting, to traveling all over the United States and the world. We not only reach out to each other but to our community and beyond. St. James is not a church on Sunday only, we believe to live as Christ directed, being His hands and feet. Jesus was out with the people, caring and sharing, and that is what we are all about. If you want to learn more about being Getting Connected contact Bob Douglass, Director of Missions

Join us for our New Member Class
We will now be offering the "Taste of St. James" 6 times a year. This is a great time for those who are new to the church or interested in membership to meet long time members and have a time of fellowship over a pot luck dinner. We will share information about the history of St James, the United Methodist Church and the ministries of St James. This is a great introduction to what St James is all about!
The next step in getting connected for those interested in becoming members is to participate in the St James 101 Class to be held 6 times a year as well. During this class we will discuss more details about the United Methodist Church and what it means to be a member at St. James UMC through prayers, presence, gifts and service. We will also have a time for representatives from each of the ministries to be available to answer any questions.
The final step in getting connected and becoming a new member, after participating in both the Taste of St James and St James 101 is to take the new member classes. In order for more individuals to participate, we have changed the format to be 5 weeks long for an hour and 15 minutes per session. These 5 classes are required, and will be offered 3 times a year!
Network Class - Spiritual Gifts and Passions
This workshop takes a look at our passions, spiritual gifts and personal style to help us align ourselves with the areas God is calling us to service. Offered to all during our regularly scheduled new member classes.
