Take the initiative to invite, welcome, include, and support newcomers and help them grow in faith as they become part of the Body of Christ.  Focus daily on those outside our congegration while nurturing and growing those already belonging to the family of faith.  Not sure how?  Here are some creative ways to invite people without being pushy or scaring people away:

1.  Talk about Jesus in daily life. Create a curiousity in those around you.

2.  Talk about Sunday's sermon with your friends on Monday

3.  Invite your friends to special outreach events at St. James.

4.  Write your friend a "Hand Written" invitation. Taking the time to write 

     something out gains more notice and conversation is sure to follow.

5.  Invite your friend over for dinner.  Cultivating a relationship is the first

     step.
