At St. James, we know that everyone has their battle to fight, their cross to bear, their road to travel. Our Care Ministry helps those who have some bumps and unexpected turns along the way. We offer a place of safety and healing for people struggling relationally and behaviorally through hospital visitation, support, consultation, prayer, meals, cards, referrals or transportation. Everyone shares the responsibility of care to those that need it.
Stephen Ministers are made up of dedicated, trained church staff and volunteers who walk alongside those in need, offering a supportive ear, care & prayer, sharing both God’s word and His love. They help guide you in your journey from brokenness to wholeness.
Confidentiality is a priority. All medium-to-major life issues requiring long-term professional relationships will continue to be referred out to licensed professional counselors, therapists, and psychologists in the Tampa Bay area. If you think you would benefit from the services of a Stephen Minister or would like to be trained to volunteer, please contact Pastor Dwight Loomis.
